October 29, 2021Matteo Berrettini stops in the quarter-finals of the "Erste Bank Open", Atp 500 with a prize pool of 1,837,190 euros that is being played on the fast indoor Wiener Stadthalle of the Austrian capital.



The 25-year-old Roman tennis player, n.7 in the world ranking and third favorite of the scoreboard, already certain to participate in the ATP Finals in Turin, surrendered to the Spanish Next Gen Carlos Alcaraz, winning in three sets with a score of 6-1 6- 7 (2) 7-6 (5), after two hours and 42 minutes of play.



Later, still in the quarters, the other blue Jannik Sinner, n.11 Atp and 7 of the seeding, will face the Norwegian Casper Ruud, n.8 of the ranking and 4 of the draw, fresh from the success in the second round against Lorenzo Sonego.
