"The investigator issued a decision on a medical commission in order to determine whether Zuev's state of health allows him to be held in custody," lawyer Sergei Sevruk quoted TASS as saying.
It is clarified that Zuev was transferred to the city hospital number 20.
“My client was transferred to the city hospital No. 20, where there is a so-called guard department, where accused and suspects who cannot be kept in a pre-trial detention center for medical reasons are taken,” the defender explained.
Earlier, the lawyer announced Zuev's hospitalization.
On October 13, the Tverskoy District Court ruled to send Zuev to house arrest until December 7.
Rector Shaninka is accused of embezzling over 21 million rubles.
