The remains of the 13th president, the late Roh Tae-woo, are expected to be interred at the Unification Garden in Paju, Gyeonggi-do after a temporary burial procedure.

According to the government and Paju-si officials, it was reported that the family of the Noh family will make a final decision on the burial site after discussing with the Ministry of Public Administration and Security after examining the candidate site in Paju Unification Garden today (28th).

As a candidate site, the Donghwa Gyeongmo Park in Paju Unification Garden, which was built by Mr. Noh, is being mentioned.

An official from the Ministry of Public Administration and Security said in a phone call, "Since we have to build a cemetery, it is unlikely that the burial of the Unification Garden will be done immediately."

Park Cheol-eon, a cousin of Roh's cousin, and former lawmaker Park Cheol-eon, who served as the Minister of Sports and Youth in the Roh Tae-woo government, also met with reporters at the mortuary today and said, "I will have to put my makeup on and be enshrined in a small temple next to Unification Garden for a while." "It is not confirmed." said.

Geomdansa Temple in Paju, which is close to Unification Garden, is mentioned as a temporary burial place.

There was also talk of temporary enshrining at Donghwasa Temple in Daegu, the hometown of the deceased, but it is known that Geomdansa Temple is being considered for reasons of distance.

Mr. Noh is said to have once been a Buddhist.

Noh's funeral is in progress as the national head of state, and a funeral and burial ceremony were scheduled to take place on the 30th.

If the remains of the deceased go through cremation and temporary burial procedures, a separate burial ceremony will be held after the cemetery is established.

Noh's bereaved family had hoped for the Paju Unification Garden, which contains the will of the deceased for peaceful reunification of the two Koreas, as a burial site.

It is said that even before the death of the deceased, he made contact with Paju City several times and expressed his desire to use the vicinity of Unification Garden as a burial site.
