Space and women's issues dominate the activities of the "Expo"

Expo 2020 Dubai succeeded in transforming the UAE into the most influential global center, and with the end of the fourth week of the international event, the United Nations celebration formed

The "Day of Honor" at the exhibition on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations, the most prominent event of the week.

Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, Amina Mohammed, spoke about the challenges facing the world and how the world was able to confront them, praising the focus of the event in its current version on the concepts of sustainability and sustainable development goals.

Government officials, business leaders, goodwill ambassadors, behavioral science specialists and storytellers from around the world gathered at the Global Dialogue on Women in the 21st Century, organized by the European Union, in cooperation with UN Women, under the umbrella of the Emirates Council for Gender Balance.

The event discussed how to harness human potential to serve women's issues, reviewing the positive multi-dimensional contribution of women to society, and best practices in the field of public policies that would accelerate women's empowerment.

Expo 2020 Dubai also hosted one of the most important global events in the field of space, the Space Week, which witnessed rich activities and dialogues on the most prominent opportunities offered by the sector, in addition to signing global partnerships and understandings.

The event witnessed the launch of the Emirates Space Agency, a new scientific challenge that provides funding of up to four million dirhams to benefit from satellite data for Earth observation and find solutions to the challenges of food security and climate change.
