According to Reuters, we are talking about Airlines for America - a group that unites passenger and cargo carriers, including American Airlines, Delta Airlines, FedEx Corp, United Parcel Service and other airlines.
The group wrote a letter directly to US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken asking him to intervene.
The authors of the letter say that without additional permits, American air carriers will be forced to use alternative, inefficient air routes.
