A 17-year-old teenager was presented to the Metz prosecutor's office on Wednesday after the violent knife attack, three days earlier, of a forty-something in Petite-Rosselle (Moselle).

Suspected of attempted murder, he was heard by the investigating judge of the criminal department.

Eight suspects, all minors, had been arrested and placed in police custody the day after the events.

Fifteen years of imprisonment incurred

This Sunday, the 44-year-old man chased a group of young people who threw projectiles at his house.

It was then that one of the teenagers stabbed him five times.

Seriously injured, the 40-year-old suffered a perforated stomach and a fractured rib.

The victim and his companion, who said they were harassed every evening by the same group of young people, had wanted to file a complaint the day before the attack.

But their request was unsuccessful.
