October 28, 2021: Christmas was the golden wedding anniversary.
Four elderly people, three men and a woman, were infected with Covid during a party for the 50th anniversary of a wedding and after arriving at the hospital in Padua they were transferred almost instantly to intensive care.
They are between 70 and 80 years old, and are in serious condition, confirms the Hospital of Padua according to the Ansa agency.
Among them was one of the couples celebrating their wedding anniversary.
The outbreak would have exploded during a lunch held last Sunday in Padua.
Within a couple of days, the four experienced the first symptoms of the infection.
But by the time they got to the emergency room, their condition was already serious and rapidly deteriorating, and they were transferred to the intensive care unit.
According to the hospital company, it is the first time for Padua that an entire group of infected people ends up so quickly from accessing the hospital to resuscitation.
