The center also reviewed the services and awareness-raising and educational activities it provides in the field of drug addiction, as well as giving specialized visitors the opportunity to review the scientific and research studies issued by it.
The center stressed that the addiction recovery industry requires the development of currently available treatment tools to play a pivotal role in recovery, while removing the stalemate surrounding the societal stigma, which contributes to the success of treatment and recovery, in addition to the correct societal reintegration of those recovering from addiction, which is considered One of the most important tools for achieving long-term recovery.
He stated that his vision to reach recovery is the first step in studying the causes and motives of abuse, then moving to develop successful implementation solutions for it, considering the treatment of addiction disease as the penultimate stage in the process of dealing with the disease, and the last stage is protection from relapse and reintegration into society.
The Director-General of the National Rehabilitation Center, Dr. Hamad Al-Ghafri, said, “The center possesses all the ingredients of world-class expertise and experience to rehabilitate addicts, and at the forefront of these components is the World Health Organization’s accreditation of the center as a cooperating center in the treatment and rehabilitation of addiction patients.
