Örebro's field group currently has a temporary decision not to go out to Västhaga's car park, due to the threatening atmosphere that has been towards them at the site.

Last weekend, however, several police patrols were on site in Västahaga.

A police patrol had a banger thrown at them and a police officer then had to seek care.

- There goes the border in every way.

In this context with such young individuals, it is such inappropriate behavior at all, for me it is completely unlikely that it occurs, says Fredrik Bäcker, deputy local police area manager for the police region Bergslagen, about the situation.

Concern for minors

According to the social services, it is mainly children and young people with EPA tractors who are usually on site during weekends and evenings, but older people also go there.

- There have been situations where girls at the age of 12 get in a car with an 18-year-old and disappear.

In these situations, we can become completely handcuffed when we try to look for the person but do not know how to get hold of her or her parents, there is a great deal of concern, says Abbe Abid.

Work ahead

Targeted letters to owners of EPA tractors, information work in schools and parent meetings are some of the efforts that have been made.

In the future, both the field workers and the police will emphasize parental responsibility and cooperation between the various social actors, in order to see results.

- The police have other powers than what we have on the spot, if people do not want to cooperate, we will be handcuffed.

On the other hand, we can follow up with the young people in the long term and be there for support, says Abbe Abid.
