The Federal Public Prosecution orders the arrest of two people for violating public morals on the information network

The Federal Public Prosecution for Information Technology Crimes has ordered the arrest and arrest of a man and a woman who published a video clip that included actions and words affecting the public morals of society on the information network.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation had submitted to the State Attorney General a report on the monitoring of this clip, and the investigations conducted by the members of the office that led to the identification of the account used to publish it via the Snapchat platform on the Internet, and the identification of the person of the account holder, and instructed the Attorney General to take legal action immediately.

The Attorney General explained that the laws of the state guarantee the protection of public morals and the moral heritage that characterizes the UAE society, and set strict penalties for violating them. Their use of social media is positive, constructive and responsible so that they do not fall under the law.

The Information Technology Crimes Prosecution is conducting its investigations with the accused.
