Earlier on Wednesday, the Swedish Schools Inspectorate stopped the three primary schools with the same name and at around 8 pm on Wednesday, a unanimous preschool board in Gothenburg decided to stop the Römosse preschool as well.
- It is because the board has not complied with the existing laws and has not taken control responsibility.
They are responsible for all the transactions that have been made and then there is also a process against a person.
All this together means that we do not see that the board has the ability to run this business, says Hakan Önal.
Examined the principal
The preschool administration has examined the preschool for a long time and at their request, the politicians in the preschool committee decided to stop it on Wednesday evening.
Already in May, the problems started when Römosseskolan's account was frozen and the money bounced back to the preschool administration.
After that, the administration has not paid any more money to the preschool.
Since the start of the autumn term, Römosseförskolan has had 28 children enrolled in preschool but has not applied for a grant for any newly admitted children after the summer.
- Römosse preschool will be closed no later than the seventh of October and then all children who go there will be offered places in municipal preschools, says Hakan Önal.
Police report against the principal
Before the summer of this year, the board of the Römosseskolorna in Gothenburg reported to the police its own school principal and principal, who in September was charged with a serious accounting offense.
The man, who is suspected of the crimes, was a former member of parliament.
He denies any wrongdoing.
