15 days have now passed since the act in Kongsberg in Norway.

A 37-year-old man is still in custody on suspicion of having killed five people and injured three.

The perpetrator is said to have used a bow and arrow to injure and two different stabbing weapons to kill people with.

The police announce at a press conference on Wednesday that the strongest hypothesis is that the 37-year-old bought the weapons online - well before the act on 13 October.

The police currently do not want to give more details about the weapons and how far in advance they should have been bought.

A total of 24 plaintiffs

Four women and a man, all between 50 and 80 years old, were killed in the act.

Three have been injured, including a civilian police officer.

There are another 16 plaintiffs in the investigation, the police announced at the press conference.

- The 16 people have been involved in various ways, for example aimed at the bow, says police inspector Per Thomas Omholt.

- We have obtained a very good overview of the course of events and believe that we have a good picture of what has happened, says Per Thomas Omholt and explains that the police are sparing with information for investigative reasons.

New phase in the investigation after hundreds of interrogations

The police have heard 260 people so far in the investigation.

The 37-year-old has so far been questioned on five occasions.

The interrogations have been about the course of events, his motives, the preparations and his history.

According to the police, the investigation has now shifted from collecting material and evidence to a more analytical phase.

They also want to find out more about the 37-year-old's background and what he did before the act.

The police do not want to say more about the man's mental health than that it has been judged that he can be questioned.

As for the theory that he should have been radicalized and converted to Islam, it has not been strengthened, but it is something that is still being investigated, according to the police.
