A 34-year-old man was the subject of an immediate appearance on Tuesday before the court of Bourgoin-Jallieu (Isère).

He was sentenced to two years in prison, including one year suspended, for having committed repeated violence against his brothers, his half-sister and his mother.

The respondent was released from prison last July and returned to his mother's home, where he was reigning terror, reports

His 18-year-old half-sister told officials at her school that she was a victim of violence.

She had claimed to have been punched because her half-brother thought she was dating a boy.

The younger brothers gave similar accounts, explaining that the now incarcerated respondent regularly slapped and brushed them.

He recognizes the facts

They had, moreover, gotten into the habit of staying in their rooms in order to escape violence.

The defendant's mother, who did not file a complaint, was the target of insults and humiliation from her son.

The thirty-something admitted the facts.

“I drink out of boredom,” he commented.

I definitely have a loss of temper when I'm not well myself.

A three-month sentence was revoked from a previous suspended sentence.
