The Chinese government has released a white paper on climate change countermeasures, highlighting China's efforts ahead of the UN conference starting next week, saying that last year's carbon dioxide emissions reached the reduction target.

This was announced by the Chinese government at a press conference on the 27th.

According to the white paper, last year's GDP = carbon dioxide emissions per gross domestic product were reduced by 48.4% compared to 2005, achieving the reduction targets shown so far.

The Chinese government plans to further accelerate its efforts toward carbon-neutral targets such as carbon-neutral emissions that will reduce greenhouse gas emissions to virtually zero by 2060.

At a press conference, Deputy Minister of the Environment, Mr. Hamin, said, "China faces the difficult task of aiming for a goal in a much shorter period of time than developed countries, but we will contribute to the goal as planned." I emphasized.

The Chinese government has appealed its positive efforts ahead of the UN Conference on Climate Change Countermeasures "COP26" starting next week.

However, recently, the government has urged the government to increase coal production and increase the amount of power generation in response to the successive restrictions on the supply of electricity in various parts of the country.
