26 October 2021 Twenty-four artists competing, twenty-four unpublished songs and a renewed voting mechanism with three independent juries for accredited journalists in the first two evenings (print media, Radio and TV, Web) and the debut of the `` Demoscopica 1000 '' jury, in addition to the confirmation of the televoting. These are some of the innovations contained in the Regulations of the Sanremo 2022 Festival, the third entrusted to the artistic direction of Amadeus who will bring 22 artists chosen by him to the Ariston stage and the 2 who will be winners of Sanremo Giovani. The Festival will be live on Rai1, RaiPlay and Radio2 from Tuesday 1st to Saturday 5th February.



It will be a race without eliminations to reach the final evening on Saturday 5, with the announcement of the winner. Also last year the Bigs in competition were supposed to be 24 but then they became 26 at the time of the announcement because Amadeus did not want to give up two of the candidate songs. The special Cover evening on Friday 4 February is back.



Voting


As for the voting, during the first two evenings the jury of accredited journalists is expected to be divided into three autonomous voting groups: a print and TV jury, one from the radio and one from the web. In the fourth and fifth evening, however, the Jury of the Press Room, TV, Radio and Web will vote as a single component, joining the Televoto and the `` Demoscopica 1000 '' Jury, composed of a thousand members selected according to age and origin criteria. geographic, who will vote remotely with a dedicated app.



How the Festival unfolds


The conduct of the evenings foresees that on Tuesday 1 and Wednesday 2 February 12 songs will be performed in the competition that will be voted, separately, by the 3 voting components of the Press, TV, Radio and Web Jury. The percentage weight on the overall result of the vote it will be divided as follows: jury of print and TV 33 percent; 33 percent web jury; radio jury 34 percent. After the vote, a ranking of the 12 songs / artists performed in each of the two evenings will be drawn up.     


In the third evening the 24 artists will propose the 24 songs in the competition that will be voted on by the public through televoting and by the 1000 Opinion Jury which will have a 50% weight on the overall result. The average between the overall voting percentages obtained by the songs / artists in the evening and those obtained in the previous evenings will determine a new ranking of the 24 songs / artists in the competition.       



The Cover evening and the ranking


On the Cover evening of Friday 4 February each of the 24 artists competing will propose - alone or with a guest - a song from the Italian and international repertoire of the 60s, 70s and 80s that will be voted by all the juries with a weight percentage of 34% for televoting; 33% for the Jury of the Press Room, TV, Radio and Web; and 33% for the Demoscopica 1000. The average of the overall voting percentages will determine a new ranking of the 24 songs / artists in the competition. Finally, on the final evening, the 24 songs in the competition will be voted on by the public through televoting and the average between the percentages of votes obtained in the evening and those obtained in the previous evenings will determine a new ranking of the 24 songs / artists. 



The first three songs in the chart will be repeated through live performance or through audio-video recording.

The previous votes will be reset and a new audience vote will be held with Televoto;

of the Press, TV, Radio and Web Jury;

and of the Demoscopica 1000, with a percentage weight divided as follows: Televoto 34%;

Jury of the Press Room, TV, Radio and Web 33%;

Demoscopic 1000 33%.

The song / Artist with the highest overall vote percentage obtained in this last vote will be proclaimed Winner of Sanremo 2022. The second and third song / artist classified will also be proclaimed.
