- Register, register, register!

is the call of the police.

Even if they do not do anything to solve a specific crime right now, your report can be the piece of the puzzle that is missing in an investigation, says Företagarna's regional manager, Frida Boklund.

Every two years, entrepreneurs conduct a survey in which traders answer questions about whether they have been exposed to crime.

According to those statistics, 84 percent have had a reduced trust in the police and 79 percent have increased costs as a result of crime prevention measures.

Extortion

The most common crimes that entrepreneurs suffer from are burglary, shoplifting and fraudulent invoices.

- But the scams have become much more sophisticated.

For example, we have CEOs' letters that look as if they come from within the organization itself.

There it can say "for over" and then an amount.

We have ransomware which is often a type of extortion where those who do not pay get into trouble.

It happened in the hospitality industry earlier this year.

The criminals often put the amount they demand so right that it can be perceived as easier to just pay.

Boklund believes that in addition to reporting the crimes, it is important with education and to be suspicious.

- If something seems too good to be true, it is most likely not true either.

The entrepreneurs had an information meeting in Motala last week, on Tuesday in Linköping and have in Söderköping on Friday.
