“On the fact of the death of a 2-year-old girl as a result of poisoning, a criminal case was initiated on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Art.
109 of the Criminal Code of Russia (Causing death by negligence), ”the message says.
As added in the press service of the Investigative Committee, a criminal case has also been opened on the fact of possible negligence of officials of the Department for Juvenile Affairs (ODN).
According to the investigation, on October 25, the girl's father returned home after work and found his wife and daughter unconscious, after which he called an ambulance.
“A team of doctors took the victims to a medical facility, where they were given a preliminary diagnosis of poisoning with an unknown substance,” the UK said.
The press service added that the girl died in the intensive care unit of the hospital, the mother of the child is in intensive care.
Earlier in the Kurgan region, investigators opened a criminal case after the poisoning of six people with surrogate alcohol, due to which three people died.
