The representatives of the Movimento5 stelle and Leu-mixed group are missing, as announced in the afternoon for 'protest' against the request not to pass the articles of the bill in the Chamber, advanced by Lega and FdI.

No to dialogue on the Zan bill if the League does not remove the threat of the 'trap' from the table. The political debate on the bill that aims to combat discrimination or violence based on sex, gender or disability once again stops. Andrea Ostellari asked the presidents of the groups to gather around a table "to check if there really is room for responsible mediation". A meeting, explained the Lega parliamentarian, "to improve the text of the bill on homophobia". A request that the Democratic Party, with the parent company Simona Malpezzi, defined "contradictory", because the League has not denied its intention to present, tomorrow in the Senate, the request to cancel the examination of the provision.

It is article 96 of the Palazzo Madama Regulations that allows "one senator for each group" to "put forward the proposal that a bill is not examined" before the examination of the articles begins " . The vote on the proposal - it is written in paragraph 2 of the article - "takes precedence over that of the agendas". If the vote of the 'trap' were to pass, for the first signatory of the bill, the dem Alessandro Zan, "the law would be dead". "The text approved in the Chamber - he added - has undergone many mediations. Mediation is the salt of democracy. If we pass tomorrow's vote, we start dialogue. I don't even want to foresee that the trap will pass - he concluded - it would be a defeat for the country".

And while waiting for the next move of the groups opposed to the provision, Movimento 5 Stelle and the Mixed Group / Leu announce that they will not participate in the Ostellari table.

"We are absolutely in favor and available for discussion, but the indispensable prerequisite for a serious dialogue is to withdraw the so-called 'trap' of the request not to switch to the articles, since it would lead to the collapse of the provision", say the group leaders Ettore Licheri (M5s) and Loredana De Petris (Mixed) supporting the line of the Democratic Party.
