On Wednesday 14 October the work will be auctioned at Christie's in New York. It starts at 4-6 million dollars.

William Shakespeare's "First Folio" was printed in London in 1623 by the will of friends and actors John Heminge and Henry Condell, who had acted some of his plays.

The volume, which contains 36 works, but no poems and no poems, also goes under the title of "Mr William Shakespeare's Comedies, Histories Tragedies", first edition published seven years after the Bardo's death.

The 'First Folio' was offered by Mills College in Oakland, California, which will use the proceeds to support their cultural activities.

According to Christie's, there are only six complete copies of the 'First Folio' closed in private collections.

The copy, which will go on sale next Wednesday, returns to auction after about 20 years.

On the title page of the 'First Folio' appears the portrait of the English engraver Martin Droeshout.

The current record for a copy of the 'First Folio' was set on October 8, 2001 at Christie's auction in New York when it sold for $ 6,166,000.
