Earlier it became known that a state of emergency was introduced in Sudan and the transitional Sovereign Council and the government of the country were dissolved.

“We proceed from the fact that such a development of events in Sudan has become evidence of an acute systemic crisis that has engulfed all areas of the country's political and economic life,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The ministry noted that the transitional authorities and "their foreign patrons and consultants" ignored the plight of the bulk of the population of Sudan.

In this regard, the Foreign Ministry stressed, the country's residents have lost confidence in the country's transitional authorities.

“We are convinced that the Sudanese can and should independently solve internal problems and determine the vector of their country's sovereign development, proceeding from national interests,” the Russian Foreign Ministry added.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said that Moscow will respect the choice of the friendly Sudanese people and provide them with the necessary assistance.
