Sudanese Ministry of Information: Hamdok's government is the legitimate authority

The page of the Sudanese Ministry of Information on the social networking site "Facebook" said that the government of Prime Minister Abdullah Hamdok is still the legitimate transitional authority in the country, after the army imposed its control over the political process and arrested members of the government, including Hamdok himself.

A statement on the ministry's page, which appears to be still under the control of Hamdok's supporters, added that the constitutional document places the right to declare a state of emergency under the powers of the transitional prime minister, and welcomed the positions issued by international and regional organizations.
