Parts of the incident were captured on film by a surveillance camera.

It was at closing time that a discussion arose when the customer claimed that the security guard was about to lock the store too early.

During the trial, the security guard said that he heard the customer complain in an unpleasant way inside the store.

After that, the guard says that the customer started threatening him and that after that he should have hit the security guard in the face.

Get support from witnesses

But the customer has a different picture of the course of events and has claimed that it was the security guard who used violence.

The customer's story is supported by a witness, and the district court thinks it is clear that the guard knelt the customer.

The district court does not consider that the security guard had the right to self-defense.

He is therefore sentenced for assault to a suspended sentence and a daily fine.

The security guard must also pay damages to the customer of SEK 5,000.

Prosecutor Magnus Berggren has previously told SVT that the case is unusual.

The security guard does not work after the incident.
