On Monday morning, Trelleorg municipality received answers to water samples taken on two properties in different parts of the municipality, the samples show that the water in the properties is unusable.
- We have confirmed that there is the presence of intestinal enterococci, which is a disease-causing bacterium, says Joakim Björklin, unit manager production water and sewage, Trelleborg municipality.
At present, there is no indication of a more extensive spread, and to rule out the possibility, more water samples are now being carried out.
Until then, everyone who lives in Trelleborg's water supply area is encouraged to boil their drinking water.
