“The Government of the Republic of Moldova informs that today, on October 25, 2021, a contract was signed for a trial purchase of one million cubic meters of natural gas between the state-owned company Energocom and the Polish company PGNiG,” the statement said.

It is noted that the Moldovan government continues negotiations with Gazprom to sign a long-term gas supply agreement.

The Kremlin earlier expressed hope that negotiations between Gazprom and the Moldovan authorities on the supply of natural gas will continue.

Leading analyst of the National Energy Security Fund Igor Yushkov, in an interview with RT, commented on the message that Gazprom may stop gas supplies to Moldova from December 1.
