On October 24, Liaoning Province held a video and telephone conference to re-emphasize and re-deploy the province's gas safety inspection and rectification work.

The meeting emphasized that all localities should check gas safety line by line, building by building, and household by household.

Focus on gas users in densely populated places such as merchants along the street, catering establishments, shopping malls and night markets, and work together with relevant departments to manage and form joint efforts to jointly promote gas safety management.

Users who have hidden dangers, are involved in endangering public safety, and refuse to rectify, will be stopped.

The meeting requested that all regions should carry out assessments and physical examinations of gas operating companies in accordance with the law, and assess whether gas companies have the ability to operate safely, whether they carefully self-examine various potential safety hazards of the company, and whether there are major safety hazards.

On the basis of ensuring the supply and service of gas, enterprises that fail to meet the assessment criteria will be suspended for rectification; enterprises that have major safety hazards who refuse to rectify and have serious lack of operating procedures will be punished and shut down.

Regarding the construction of gas projects, all localities must include urban gas line pipelines and equipment installation into the scope of project quality supervision, strictly implement basic construction procedures, and supervisors must perform side-by-side duties during construction of important parts, and severely crack down on subcontracting and affiliation.

With regard to gas valves, users should be urged to close the angle valve of the gas cylinder and the front valve of the pipeline gas stove when the gas is not in use.

Carry out inspections on door-to-door valves, especially unit master valves that have not used gas for a long time, to ensure that the standpipe master valves that do not use gas are in a closed state.

The meeting requested that all localities should strengthen gas safety publicity, organize media and gas companies to actively promote gas safety knowledge, and grassroots streets and communities should hold gas safety knowledge classrooms and other publicity activities from time to time to popularize gas safety to every family.
