China News Service, October 25. According to Agence France-Presse, on the 25th local time, Burhan, chairman of the Sudanese Sovereignty Commission, announced that the country’s transitional government and sovereignty committee would be dissolved and the country has entered a state of emergency.

  According to reports, Burhan also stated that he would form a "competent" government and promised to create a series of state institutions such as the Supreme Court.

  In addition, Burhan also said that the international agreement signed by Sudan will remain valid.

  Earlier in the day, several media reported that the residence of Prime Minister Hamduk of the Sudanese Transitional Government was surrounded by military personnel and several ministers were arrested.

Subsequently, Hamduk was transferred to a secret location.

  On August 21, 2019, the Sudanese Sovereignty Committee composed of military and civilian representatives was established, with Burhan, the military representative, as its chairman.

On the same day, Hamduk was sworn in as prime minister of the transitional government.

  Recently, Sudanese military leaders demanded a reorganization of the government, while civilian officials accused the military of planning to seize power.

Supporters of both sides held separate demonstrations in Khartoum recently.
