The official Israeli channel "Kan" reported that the European Union was "outraged" by the Israeli decision to classify 6 Palestinian NGOs as "terrorist organizations".

And last Friday, the Israeli government announced the removal of 6 Palestinian civil institutions (non-governmental) from the law, citing their association with the (leftist) Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, which Israel classifies as "terrorist".

The official channel said - via its Twitter account - "Not only the United States, but the European Union countries as well, are angry at the decision to consider the six Palestinian organizations as terrorist organizations."

The channel indicated that "Israel did not inform the European Union countries of the decision before it was announced, and the Union will request an explanation from Tel Aviv on this."

And the US State Department said - last Friday - that Tel Aviv did not notify Washington before listing the six Palestinian institutions as "terrorist organizations", adding that it would "request clarification" from them about the bases adopted by Israel for that designation.

The decision issued by the Israeli Ministry of Justice includes: the Law Foundation for Human Rights “Al-Haq”, the “Conscience” Foundation for Prisoner Care and Human Rights, the International Movement for Defense of Children - Palestine Branch, the Bisan Center for Research, the Union of Women’s Committees, and the Union of Committees agricultural work.

According to the Israeli newspaper, "The Jerusalem Post," the decision classified these institutions as "the arm of the terrorist organization, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine."

The six institutions, with their main headquarters in Ramallah (central Palestine), have a wide presence in civil work in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

Israel classifies the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine as a "terrorist" organization.

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (a leftist organization) is the second largest faction of the Palestine Liberation Organization after the "Fatah" movement, and was founded in 1967.
