Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will visit Qatar in the Middle East from the 25th to meet with a delegation of the Islamist Taliban, which governs Afghanistan.

Foreign Minister Wang also met with Taliban executives in July, and is expected to aim to strengthen his influence on Afghanistan.

China's Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin announced at a press conference on the 25th that Foreign Minister Wang Yi will visit Qatar in the Middle East on the 25th and 26th to meet with a delegation of the Islamic power Tullivan in the capital Doha.

"Since August, the people of Afghanistan have faced many difficulties and challenges and are in urgent need of external support. China has consistently promoted good development of the situation in Afghanistan through dialogue and contact. He has argued that he will guide and help people overcome the challenges, "he said.

In July, Foreign Minister Wang had a meeting with Taliban executives Baradal and others who visited China, and while the United States and other countries were trying to determine the Taliban's provisional administration, China would open a dialogue channel. It seems that the aim is to strengthen its influence on Afghanistan by maintaining it.
