A work accident claimed the life of a young man of 18 this Monday morning in a slaughterhouse in Lanfains in the Côtes-d'Armor.
For some still undetermined reason, the victim found himself trapped under a 500 kg box where poultry was stored.
The accident took place around 10:45 am at the slaughterhouses of LDC Bretagne, one of the giants of the sector.
“The victim was in cardio-ventilatory arrest.
The SMUR and the firefighters tried in vain to revive it, ”said the Côtes-d'Armor firefighters.
An investigation was entrusted to the gendarmerie to determine the exact circumstances of the tragedy.
