Alberto Rodríguez demands explanations from Meritxell Batet for the "arbitrary" withdrawal from his seat

There will be no complaint but there is a request for explanations to the president of the

, Meritxell Batet, with the aim of showing that she has adopted an "arbitrary" decision to withdraw her seat.

The former parliamentarian on Monday sent a request to the president of the Lower House, to which this newspaper had access, where he asked "when and by what resolution" the decision was adopted through which he decided to deprive him of the seat.

Likewise, the former member of Unidas Podemos addresses Meritxell Batet to ask him to tell him "on what legal basis has he decided to transform an accessory penalty of special disqualification for the right to passive suffrage during the time of the sentence into a deprivation of the seat for than the one I was elected on November 10, 2019 ".

In the letter, Rodríguez directly accuses Batet of "creating an unforeseen penalty" in the sentence of the
