A storm uproots trees and electricity poles in America.. video

Yesterday, Sunday, a strong storm hit the US state of California, causing mudslides and toppling electricity poles, and videos spread on social media showing the scale of the disaster.

High winds were blowing over San Francisco as the storm, which had gained great strength, turned south.

Meteorologist Mark Chenard of the National Weather Service's Weather Prediction Center said heavy rain was expected on the West Coast, with up to 10 inches of rain expected, according to Reuters.

Chinard added that fire sites are areas where water usually flows faster than others and where there is the greatest risk of flash floods.

It is noteworthy that the storm came after one of the most intense wildfire seasons in California history, which increased the risk of flash floods.
