And the same thing is being witnessed - there is currently an unusually large amount of sick leave in preschools.
- We have had a higher absence of both children and staff earlier than usual.
Many common colds and autumn viruses such as autumn smallpox and more have gained momentum, says Ingela Berg, head of administration for preschools in Ronneby municipality.
Higher absence than normal
In the municipality of Karlshamn, it is pointed out that for this time of year there has been higher sickness absence than normal.
Also in Sölvesborg and Karlskrona where it is mostly colds that are the cause.
- It has hit a bit unevenly and some preschools have been hit harder than others, says Per Theorin, head of administration in Sölvesborg municipality.

In Karlskrona municipality, sick leave was at its highest a few weeks ago, according to head of administration Solvig Ohlsson.
- We usually have a cold peak at the edge of autumn, but since we still have the rules of conduct that you should be at home at the slightest symptom and be at home a little longer than usual, the absence is still connected to the corona.
They simply have a cold and then you stay at home to a greater extent, she says.
The municipality that stands out is Olofström.
According to the head of administration, the absence varies between the schools, but it is not possible to say that it is more than before.
