The dentist treated a man with an infected tooth root.

But the treatment was both delayed and was performed carelessly, according to IVO, which led to the man having to pull out his tooth at an emergency hospital in Norrköping.

IVO is also critical of the fact that the dentist was a recent graduate and that no supervisor was available at the patient's first visit.

The man died four weeks later of pneumonia, but it is unclear if it has anything to do with the treatment.
