Pfizer last week submitted a test result to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) showing that its coronavirus vaccine was 91% effective in children aged 5 to 11 years.
In particular, it is the opinion of experts that the risk of side effects is low as only one-third of the dose administered to adults is planned to be administered to children.
The FDA plans to hold a meeting earlier this week and decide whether to approve the vaccine for children ages 5 to 11.
