In Stockholm County, around 10,000 people write the test on Sunday, says Peter Wretling, head of the Student Department's unit for admission and university exams at Stockholm University, which coordinates the test in the county.
Before the pandemic, it used to be around 16,000 per occasion.
Limited sample
Due to the pandemic, the university entrance exam is also limited on Sundays, both in terms of the number of participants and who is allowed to write.
Across the country, about 40,000 people are registered for the test, which is conducted in more than 130 locations in Sweden, according to the University and College Council.
To be allowed to write the test, you must have completed your high school education or be born in 2002 or earlier.
In the spring of 2020, the test was canceled completely and in the autumn of 2020, it was severely limited.
