October 24, 2021 Marc Marquez with his Honda wins the GP of Emilia Romagna and the French Fabio Quartararo is world champion 2021 despite coming in fourth place.

French driver, two GPs from the end of the competitive season, has a 52-point advantage over Bagnaia, who crashed today when he was leading with three laps to go.

An intense race that saw Pecco Bagnaia's Ducati lead the race, and approach Quartararo in the standings before exiting the corners, crashing and retiring, giving the transalpine the title.

Second place for Pol Espargarò and third on the podium Enea Bastianini, while Luca Marini finished in ninth position ahead of his brother Valentino Rossi, tenth in his last race in Italy.
