"According to the Interregional Department of Rospotrebnadzor in the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, 649 cases of new coronavirus infection were registered in the Republic of Crimea on October 23, a total of 91,997 positive for Covid-19 were detected," the message says.
Since the beginning of the pandemic in Crimea, about 77 thousand people have recovered, 2882 patients have died.
Earlier, Natalya Pshenichnaya, deputy director for clinical and analytical work of the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology of Rospotrebnadzor, said that the increase in the incidence of coronavirus observed in Russia was caused by the spread of the delta strain, as well as by ignoring preventive measures.
