24 October 2021 In Scordia, the town of Catania particularly affected by the bad weather that hit eastern Sicily, searches for any missing persons are underway.
The Fire Brigade, who rescued several motorists blocked by a flood of water and mud, have in fact collected the testimony of one of them who reported that an elderly couple aboard a Ford Fiesta would get out of the car and would overwhelmed by the fury of the water.
The Scuba Diving Unit of the Catania Fire Brigade is also going to the site to participate in the research.
