A nail-filled bomb kills a woman in a restaurant in Uganda

Police in Uganda said the bomb that killed at least one woman in a restaurant on the outskirts of the capital Kampala was packed with nails and pieces of metal.

The blast occurred on Saturday evening in a suburb on the northern outskirts of the city, killing a 20-year-old waitress and wounding three, two of whom are in critical condition.

No group has yet claimed responsibility, but police said the device was made using local materials, adding: "All indications are that this is domestic terrorism."
