A young climber died Sunday morning in Haute-Savoie after a fall in the Mont-Blanc massif, we learned from the High Mountain Gendarmerie Platoon (PGHM).

The 20-year-old young man, of French nationality, unscrewed, while he was near the Durier refuge, at the Miage pass at more than 3,350 meters above sea level, said the same source.

According to mountain rescue services, the climber fell over 500 meters.
