Arrested in Brebières in Pas-de-Calais last Wednesday, a 40-year-old woman was indicted on Friday for intentional homicide, reports France Bleu Nord.

She is suspected of having killed her child just after giving birth.

The infant's body was discovered by a maintenance worker on September 14 at Marseille station, in the trash of a train on the Lille-Marseille link.

After the discovery of the infant, a 48-year-old man was also arrested on Wednesday.

Companion of the suspect, he was released, the investigations not being able to determine his implication in the facts.

The latter assures that he was not aware that his companion was pregnant.

On the other hand, she knew it according to the elements of the investigation.

Charged for intentional homicide on a 15-year-old minor, she risks life imprisonment.
