It was one night two years ago that a police patrol in Grums in Värmland reacted to two cars behaving strangely, they drove slowly and close to each other.

One of the cars was also registered to a person with a previous crime in the luggage and with connections to the motorcycle gang Hells Angels.

The other car was driven by Gnestabon, who also appears in the criminal record.

Police dog found weapon

When the patrol followed, the cars drove in different directions in a roundabout.

The police chose to follow Gnestabon who drove out on the E18 and increased the speed considerably.

At one point he slowed down, and something was thrown out the window, before continuing his journey.

After a while he chose to stay.

A dog patrol found a gun and a magazine of ammunition on the side of the road 20 minutes later.

Communication radio

Gnestabon's car also had a switched - on communication radio, rubber gloves, silver tape and freezer bags, according to judgments in the district court and the court of appeal.

He himself has denied that the gun belonged to him and claimed in court that he used the other things in his job and household.

A bag with DNA traces from Gnestabon was also found near the gun on the road, something he could not explain in court.

Sentenced to prison

In Värmland District Court, the man was sentenced to two years and three months in prison for a felony.

It is a judgment that has now been upheld in the Court of Appeal for Western Sweden.
