"Due to the sharp increase in the incidence of COVID-19 in the region, mandatory QR codes have been introduced for the population since October 25," the press service of the regional government said.

It is noted that the system will affect sports facilities, museums, zoos, hotels, sanatoriums, attractions, theaters, cinemas, circuses, saunas, beauty salons, dry cleaners, as well as social services and health care institutions.

In addition, the activities of children's day camps have been suspended.

Self-isolation is required for unvaccinated residents over 65 years of age.

Children under 18 years old will be able to attend sports clubs, museums, cinemas and concerts only when accompanied by their parents or legal representatives.

Earlier, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova announced the deterioration of the situation with COVID-19 in 14 regions in a week.
