A large number of young people have made contributions in the construction of Tibet——

Snow-covered plateau dedicated to the power of youth (Youth School·Youth Endeavour into a New Era (38))

In July of this year, General Secretary Xi Jinping said emotionally when he met with cadres in Tibet: “The spirit of aid to Tibet is a noble spirit of the Communist Party of China and a significant advantage of socialism with Chinese characteristics. There is no lack of oxygen, and this spirit is revolution. Ideals are higher than the sky. You are on the plateau, and your spirit is higher than the plateau. This matter must be done one after another, generation after generation."

In the process of economic construction and social development in Tibet, countless young people from the interior chose to stay away from their hometowns and come to this snow-covered plateau to sweat and dedicate their youth.

They either teach and educate people in schools, or set up a "road to the sky" for Tibet on the front line of construction... "Song of Youth".

Wang Dewei, a teacher of Shanghai aid to Tibet and secretary of the Youth League Committee of Shanghai Experimental School of Shigatse City:

"Open windows for children to see a wider world"

In the summer of 2019, Wang Dewei, a 26-year-old young teacher from Shanghai to aid Tibet, is about to end his first one-year aid to Tibet.

"Ms. Wang will return to Shanghai at the end of this semester. We are going to be parted!" A child in the class said such a sentence in class.

For a while, the class fell silent, and Wang Dewei was also a little heavy.

Go or stay?

During that time, Wang Dewei had been hesitating in his heart. Hearing the words of the child, he finally made up his mind: Do it for another 3 years!

From the perspective of "language comes from around", Wang Dewei thought of many ways to awaken children's perception of language-in class, he prepared a lot of expansion materials based on the content of the textbook and students' interests, through various videos and audios The data presents the great world directly in front of the children; he also organizes various debates and speech activities in the class to let the children speak out their ideas boldly.

Outside the classroom, he paid for his own pockets, bought extracurricular books for the children, led the children to swim in the books, and cultivated the children's interest in reading.

Suolang is a child in Wang Dewei's class. He has a silent and shy personality and rarely interacts with the teacher in class.

When Wang Dewei first took this class, the other teachers said, "Suolang is too shy!"

On the contrary, Wang Dewei noticed the silent child and deliberately communicated with him more in class and after class. The silent Suolang gradually opened his heart.

In an open class not long after, the children raised their hands high and rushed to answer questions. Among them, Solang was extremely active.

"Unexpectedly, Suo Lang became so cheerful." A teacher said to Wang Dewei after class.

Wang Dewei felt that this was a moment of immense pride.

In the second aid to Tibet, Wang Dewei also served as the secretary of the school's Youth League Committee. He put more energy on organizing activities, constantly traveling between Shanghai and Tibet, organizing children out of the plateau, and "letting more children see a bigger world." .

In 2019, Wang Dewei took a group of children to Shanghai for exchange visits.

Originally, the school mainly organized the first and second grade students this time, but Wang Dewei insisted on bringing Dawa Tsering in the third grade.

Why do you have to bring this child?

It turned out that Dawa Tsering was the top student in the class, but she had always resisted applying for the Tibet class in the interior, so she wanted to study in Tibet all the time and go home to help in the future.

"I just want to take him to Shanghai to see the outside world, and then it's not too late to make a choice." Wang Dewei said.

At the airport, Dawa Tsering held Wang Dewei's arm tightly with a nervous expression on his face: "Teacher, this is my first time flying."

It wasn't until the plane landed steadily in Shanghai that Dawa Tsering, whose nervousness subsided, took Wang Dewei and asked him to take a photo of himself when he flew for the first time.

In Shanghai, the teachers took Dawa Tsering to see a lot of things, including museums displaying heavy history, advanced science and technology exhibition halls, brightly lit buildings, and developed commercial complexes... All of these made Dawa Tsering. Emotionally.

The event is about to end, and a group of people posed for a group photo on the Bund.

Dawa Tsering leaned on Wang Dewei's shoulders and said softly in his ear: "Teacher Wang, I also want to take the inland Tibet class, and I also want to come to Shanghai to study."

In the 2020 high school entrance examination, Dawa Tsering was admitted to the Shanghai Everest Middle School as he wished.

Now, Dawa Tsering has become the policy speaker of the Tibet class in the interior, and he took the initiative to return to Xigaze during the holiday to introduce policies to the younger students. When the children of Xigaze went to visit Shanghai again, he also actively shared his experience with the children. Experience.

"Opening the windows to the children to see the wider world is what I am most proud of in Tibet." Wang Dewei said, "Shanghai has supported Tibet for more than 20 years, and the Shigatse Shanghai Experimental School has been in operation for more than ten years. A generation of aid teachers worked hard together, one after another, to give more and more Tibetan children the wings of dreams."

Zhang Teng, employee of China Railway Electrification Bureau and builder of Lalin Railway:

"There must be some back waves, rushing to the place where the motherland needs it most"

On June 25 this year, Tibet's Lalin Railway was officially opened to traffic. This is the first electrified railway in Tibet. It also marks the full coverage of the Fuxing EMU trains in 31 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities.

Seeing the train entering the station, Zhang Teng, a 22-year-old employee of the China Railway Electrification Bureau, was very excited. This is the long-term effort of him, his father Zhang Xinfeng and other railway builders.

During the construction period, before dawn in the morning, the father and son soldiers Zhang Teng and Zhang Xinfeng will go to the responsible construction area to start work.

In winter, the road is often accompanied by icy rain and snow, the temperature is more than ten degrees Celsius below zero, accompanied by the lack of oxygen on the plateau, and the working conditions are abnormally difficult.

"Check the belt well" "Be sure to move slowly up and down"...Walking on the viaduct with the Pentium Yarlung Zangbo River underneath, Zhang Xinfeng is directing the construction staff; not far away, Zhang Teng is holding huge equipment, unfolding the support, and measuring in detail Various data required for construction.

"It is very common for us to take 20,000 to 30,000 steps a day for the measurement." Zhang Teng said.

Although the work was hard, Zhang Teng was very pleased.

In the past, it was rare for him to get together with his father. Zhang Xinfeng worked outside all the year round. The construction period was tight and the tasks were heavy, so he rarely went home for the New Year. Even when Zhang Teng was born, Zhang Xinfeng was still in the northeast of the project construction.

But this Spring Festival, the father and son finally had a different year of reunion together for the first time at the Lalin Railway construction site thousands of miles away from their hometown.

It's rare to get together, but the father and son don't have too many parents' shortcomings, and they are more concerned about engineering projects.

Affected by the new crown pneumonia epidemic, how to speed up the progress and ensure that the railway is opened to traffic on time is an issue that father and son often discuss.

Electrification construction is a technical activity that requires climbing four to five meters high shelf construction work.

"In the plain area, a group of skilled workers can complete 20 or 30 pillar assembly operations a day, but in Tibet, everyone will have to pan for a long time after working for a while. They can complete up to 10 racks a day, and the speed is more than half slow." Zhang Teng said. .

For the Milin Tunnel of the Lalin Railway with a length of more than 11 kilometers, several construction units had to take turns to work in order to rush the construction period.

However, the tunnel is narrow and construction vehicles cannot enter and exit at the same time. Everyone can only grasp the window period of their own construction and complete the task as quickly as possible.

The father and son entered the tunnel early in the morning and didn't come out until the next morning. They went back and ate a few bites of food before falling asleep...Finally, the construction schedule was completed on time.

After the tunnel was completed, Zhang Teng lay down for a full day before relieving himself.

"When we first arrived, everything was silent here; when the project was completed and we were about to leave, there were already lights up here. A transportation line is also a lifeline for many people." Looking at the newly built Lalin Railway, Zhang Teng Said with emotion, "Seeing that this place is getting more and more prosperous, we have a sense of accomplishment. If the older generation of railway builders are the front wave of building the country, we are the back wave. There must be some back waves, rushing in the places where the motherland needs it most. "

Wang Jun, a cadre of Suzhou aid to Tibet and deputy director of the Development and Reform Commission of Linzhou County, Lhasa City:

"Not only to bring projects, but also to bring work attitudes and methods"

Tanggu Township, Linzhou County, north of Lhasa, is more than 4,200 meters above sea level.

As a native of the Tang Dynasty, Ugan Tsoum, who studied tourism management at Lhasa University, never thought that a high-end hotel could be opened here.

  Wang Jun doesn't think so.

In 2019, at the age of 32, as the youngest member of the ninth batch of cadres in Jiangsu Province, he came to the Linzhou Development and Reform Commission from Suzhou City. The Tanggu Tourism Service Center was one of Wang Jun's earliest projects.

Nowadays, at the Tangu Tourist Service Center, the hotel staff Uganzoom and colleagues are very busy. The infrastructure here is complete, and the number of tourists far exceeds her imagination. Hotels with dozens of rooms are often "one room" during holidays. Hard to find".

"Lhasa wants to build the northern tourist ring, and our Suzhou aid to Tibet hopes to lay a number of projects along the line, so that the'Labei Ring' can effectively drive the local people to improve the quality of life." Wang Jun said: "Tanggu Township is adjacent to Rezhen National Forest Park. With rich tourism resources, the Tanggu Tourism Service Center that has been built is the answer we handed in."

Wang Jun was very impressed when I went to Tanggu for the first time-about 100 kilometers of road, driving for four or five hours.

There are constructions everywhere on the road, muddy water splashing, potholes on the road, and a large mountain with an altitude of nearly 5,000 meters on the way. Vehicles have to stay for a long time when encountering a landslide or construction maintenance.

From the transportation facilities to the livelihood facilities such as the Tanggu Township Health Center, to the tourism service center, Suzhou has invested a total of nearly 100 million yuan for local tourism development and people's livelihood improvement.

Walking on the rugged mountain road, Wang Jun kept wondering: "How can the hotel project be profitable? How much will change after the completion of these livelihood projects?"

This is a question he must seriously think about.

The goal set by Suzhou Aid to Tibet is “to be profitable and self-made”.

This seemingly modest requirement is quite difficult for many projects in Tibet-the climate here is cold, and the construction period per year is only about six or seven months; the altitude here is high, many engineering facilities cannot be erected, and some operations People are not willing to come.

All kinds of problems will slow down the construction progress and also challenge the quality of the project.

In order to ensure the construction progress and quality of each project, Wang Jun ran to Tanggu once and again, sometimes two or three times a month.

Once, road construction was interrupted, Wang Jun and his colleagues could only go around a few hundred kilometers, spending an extra day from Lhasa city to Linzhou county.

Tanggu Township runs more and more, and Wang Jun sees the changes in his eyes: With the continuous advancement of the traffic improvement project, the traffic from the county to the village has improved, and the distance has been shortened from four to five hours to two hours; with the township supporting medical facilities project With the completion of the Tanggu Township, some minor illnesses of the local people can be solved on the spot; with the completion of the Tanggu Township Tourism Service Center, more and more tourists choose to come to Tanggu Township for sightseeing, and it has gradually become a well-known tourist circle on the northern tourist ring of Lhasa. "Check in."

The project construction not only changed the local environment, but also subtly affected the mental outlook of local cadres.

When they first came to work in Linzhou, some cadres had no confidence and enthusiasm for the project, and they always liked to say "it's almost the same."

"I don't think it will work at all!" Wang Jun always has to finalize and polish the details of the project little by little.

Under his influence, the people around him have taken the project more seriously, and the rules and regulations have become stricter, because everyone knows that any problem will be beaten back by Wang Jun.

"If the details of the project are not calculated clearly in advance, the budget will easily exceed the standard. When it is time to adjust, the procedures will be troublesome and the construction period will be affected. Bringing work attitudes and methods can bring about longer-term changes to Tibet." Wang Jun said.
