The number of cases of coronavirus recorded in Russia per day reached 37,678 - this is a new maximum figure since the beginning of the pandemic.

The largest number of new cases was detected in Moscow (7803), St. Petersburg (3360) and the Moscow region (2783).

During this time, 26,077 people have fully recovered, 1,075 patients have died - the number also became a record for the entire time of counting.

The total number of COVID-19 cases registered in the country has reached 8,205,983. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 7,143,137 patients have recovered in Russia, and 229,528 people have died.

On the eve of the Ministry of Health of Russia, the population allowed simultaneous vaccination against influenza and coronavirus.

Corresponding changes were made to the instructions for medical use of the Sputnik V vaccine.

The department explained that a study of the interaction of "Sputnik V" with a vaccine for the prevention of influenza showed no decrease in the immunogenicity of both vaccines.

“With the simultaneous vaccination against covid and influenza, drugs are injected into different parts of the body, for example, in the left and right shoulder,” the Ministry of Health explained.

They stressed that in the context of the rise in the incidence of coronavirus infection and influenza, Russians, both older and younger, "it is critically important to protect themselves."

Residents of Russia can be vaccinated free of charge with one of the vaccines registered in the country - "Sputnik V" and "Sputnik Light" Center.

Gamalei, "EpiVacCorona" and "EpiVacCorona-N" are developed by the Novosibirsk center "Vector" and "KoviVak" by the Chumakov Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Natalya Pshenichnaya, deputy director for clinical and analytical work of the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology of Rospotrebnadzor, expressed the opinion that the incidence rates of coronavirus in Russia are likely to become calmer by the end of 2021.

She previously noted that in order to slow the spread of the virus, it is necessary to actively vaccinate and carefully observe safety measures.

“Probably by the end of the year, the numbers will be calmer,” RIA Novosti quoted her as saying.

In turn, the head of the scientific group for the development of new methods for diagnosing human diseases at the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology of Rospotrebnadzor, Kamil Khafizov, said the day before that isolated cases of the AY.4.2 strain of the AY.4.2 delta strain were registered in the Moscow region.

“This variant has several substitutions, including two key mutations in the spike protein gene - Y145H and A222V,” he told TASS.

The specialist clarified that the vaccinated Russians are protected from this variant of the virus in the same way as from the original "delta" strain.

At the same time, Moscow Deputy Mayor Anastasia Rakova noted earlier that the capital has a sufficient supply of beds for patients with COVID-19 in order to provide assistance to everyone who needs it.

The deputy mayor stressed that since the beginning of the pandemic, "all the necessary capacities" have been created in the city.

“We have only 11,000 beds in reserve, newly created facilities to fight the coronavirus.

Today, 80% of all bed capacities that work on covid are temporary capacities, ”Rakova noted.

This, according to her, allows not to distract basic hospitals from the provision of somatic, planned and emergency medical care.

We will remind, earlier President Vladimir Putin signed a decree establishing from October 30 to November 7 in Russia non-working days with the preservation of wages.

At the same time, the constituent entities of Russia have the authority to independently establish additional restrictions based on the current epidemiological situation.

In particular, non-working days in Moscow will last from October 28 to November 7 inclusive.

In the city for this time, the work of non-food shops, cinemas, gyms, cafes and restaurants, the provision of public services in the centers "My Documents" is suspended.

As noted in the operational headquarters to combat the spread of infection, non-working days are necessary to interrupt the chain of coronavirus infection.
