The Women’s Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, in cooperation with Cartier, held a series of meetings with the participation of the Dubai Corporation for the Development of Industry and Exports and the World Trade Center in New York (ITC), with the aim of enhancing women’s opportunities for learning, innovation, partnerships and alliances, And to highlight the role that women can play primarily in the main industries sector, to put them on the map of global trade, through the Women's Entrepreneurship Program launched by the pavilion.

At the beginning of the meetings, Executive Director of the World Trade Center, Pamela Cook Hamilton, said that “shaping a more resilient, inclusive and sustainable world has become more important than before, which can only be achieved with women as an essential part of the solution, so the World Trade Center participates, In cooperation with the Dubai Corporation for the Development of Industry and Export, to create new opportunities and real support for women, by hosting (Expo 2020) a series of events and meetings that are held in real and virtual, to promote learning, innovation, partnerships and alliances, and to teach women how to become entrepreneurs.”

At the beginning of the event, Deputy Executive Director of the Dubai Corporation for Industry and Exports Development, Mohammed Al-Kamali, spoke about the announcement of the Women's Leadership Program during the "Expo 2020 Dubai" period, in addition to the Women in International Trade Program, an initiative aimed at facilitating the entry of nearly three million women into the trade market. international markets by 2021, and focus on transforming physical markets into digital ones.

He stated that many forms of material, scientific and cognitive support are provided to all participants in the program, in cooperation with some international companies.

On Expo 2020’s support for these goals, and the opportunities it provides for interaction between participants from all over the world, Al Kamali said: “Dubai was able to draw the world’s attention with its success, which was monitored during the pandemic period and beyond, and (Expo 2020) is a turning point and a pillar essential for progress and prosperity in the coming years.”

During the several discussion sessions hosted by the pavilion, the focus was on the importance of providing knowledge and providing communication opportunities as essential elements of supporting and empowering women. Presenting a visual presentation about the story of one of the struggling women from Bangladesh, whose trade is based on some handicrafts, and during the pandemic period, she and her entire team stopped working, and she was exposed to difficult days, until she contacted the global “She Trade Global” team, which provided She had the opportunity to learn digital marketing, which opened up new markets for her and completely changed her life.
