Unknown in France, the young rapper Einar, 19, was a star of the Swedish music scene.

Propelled to the top of the charts with his single "Katten i trakten" (The cat in the sector) in 2019, he was shot on the night of Thursday to Friday.

Shots were reported around 11 p.m. at the foot of a building in the residential area of ​​Hammarby Sjöstad, near central Stockholm.

Found seriously injured, the young man awarded several times died on the spot despite the care of emergency help.

His identity was quickly confirmed by the media, but not by the Swedish police who never release this information.

Even if his texts referred to a life of delinquency, evoking drugs and weapons, Einar, whose real name was Nils Kurt Erik Einar Grönberg, was in fact the subject of protective measures.

Indeed, he was in open conflict with his rival Yasin, who had tried to kidnap him in 2020. Yasin was sentenced to ten months in prison in July for these facts.

But Swedish police are facing a wave of settling of scores, and Einar's murder may be part of this trend.
