Horses have long been a part of life for Renée Claesson-Ribring, who has invested in becoming a competition rider.

Over the years, she has fallen off many times, but never as badly as last spring.

Now she spends most of her days in a wheelchair, waiting for a neck operation.

- In the worst case, I can wake up paralyzed, or not at all.
