"According to the amendments to the decree, non-working days in the Nizhny Novgorod region will last from October 25 to November 7," the message says.

It is clarified that the decision was made following a meeting of the regional coordination headquarters for the fight against coronavirus.

Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Gleb Nikitin noted that more than 9,100 beds have been deployed in the region to treat patients with coronavirus.

"The percentage of available bed capacity is declining," the governor concluded.

The day before, 737 cases of COVID-19 were detected in the Nizhny Novgorod region per day.
