He ran after her and pulled her hair hard.. An unknown assaulted a woman in Manhattan and ran away
A video clip documented the moment a young woman fell to the ground after being pulled by her hair by an unknown person in broad daylight while wandering on East First Street in Manhattan, New York, and fled.
In the video published by the British newspaper Daily Mail, surveillance footage shows the unprovoked attack, as a man in his thirties or forties appeared running westward on the south block of East First Street from the Second Avenue side of the street, then approached the victim and grabbed her by the hair. So hard it fell on the concrete sidewalk.
The video showed a woman carrying a backpack who was walking within a few feet of the man, violently rushing to the ground as she screamed in pain, while bystanders who witnessed the horrific, unprovoked indiscriminate attack also screamed in shock.
It was not clear when the attack occurred.
The incident is the latest high-profile assault case in the city, which has seen sharp increases in crime in recent months.
